Afrooz Family is an audio programmer, researcher, composer, and installation artist based out of the San Francisco Bay Area where he did his undergrad in music at UC Berkeley
(including graduate courses in computer music at the Center for New Music and Audio Technology). He will be pursuing graduate studies at Stanford University at the Center for
Computer Research in Music and Acoustics. His works have been performed at venues across the country
including the New York Electroacoustic Music Festival and the Society for Electroacoustic Music in the US National Conference. Afrooz divides his
time between working in an atomic physics laboratory, writing music, cooking, and cycling for the Cal Cycling Team.Afrooz Family
